Walmart, the parent company of Sam's Club, is responsible for the manufacture of the Member's Mark brand. Walmart is a worldwide retailer that generates billions of dollars in revenue every year, and it's no surprise that it has the capacity to manufacture the products in-house.

The membership-only retail warehouse's decision last November to undercut Costco's $1.50 hot dog-and-soda combo with its $1.38 deal helped catapult Sam's Club ahead of the rival chain.

For just $1.38, the Sam's Club hot dog is definitely a great deal, but it doesn't compare to Costco's. Costco's hot dog is so impressive that it doesn't need them. It's great with nothing but ketchup.

Today, the famous Kirkland franks are made at the original Tracy, California location and at a secondary location in Morris, Illinois that opened to keep up with high demand, according to the Wall Street Journal. While the hot dogs are no longer kosher, they are larger.
